DeSantis does not allow cruise ship restrictions and warns that he will bring the CDC struggle to the Supreme Court

Republican Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis Has pledged to fight the pandemic restrictions imposed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on cruise ships (CDC) until Supreme Court.

Under the direction of the governor, Florida sued the CDC in April, saying Congress It has never been granted the power to supervise cruise ship health and safety standards. He said the CDC’s restrictions are illegal and harmful to Florida’s economy.

A US district judge granted the state a preliminary injunction against the CDC in June, but the CDC appealed the injunction. On Saturday, an appeals court panel of three judges postponed the injunction with a 2-1 decision the day before the injunction took effect.

On Monday, DeSantis promised to appeal all the way to the Supreme Court so that cruise ships can operate without CDC interference.
