Twitter is considering new ways to share tweets with specific groups of people.The company showed Two concepts A new feature that allows users to target tweets to specific audiences without switching accounts or changing privacy settings.
The first will enable people to designate “trusted friends” so certain tweets are only visible to that group.The idea is similar to Instagram’s “Close Friends” Story function.According to an image shared by Twitter designer Andrew Courter, Twitter’s version will allow users to switch audiences, just like you can choose who can Reply Give you.
He added, “Maybe you can also see the tweets of trusted friends first in your timeline,” which will provide another alternative to the “homepage” timeline currently provided by Twitter that is chronologically or algorithmically calculated.
Another feature will allow people to play different roles or “aspects” from the same account. For example, users can have professional identities, they post work-related topics on Twitter, and personal identities are more suitable for friends and family. Based on these pictures, users can choose to make any role public or private, and new followers will be able to choose which “aspect” they want to view tweets from.
Finally, Courter showed a new concept Used to filter responses, allowing users to select specific words or phrases that “they don’t want to see”. Then, if a user who responds to or mentions that user tries to use one of these words or phrases, Twitter will let them know that these words are against the user’s preferences.
