Jaylen Rose calls Kevin Love the white “token” of the US Olympic basketball team

ESPN basketball analyst Jalen Rose recently commented on American basketball’s inclusion of Kevin Love on Tokyo’s list next month, which aroused criticism Olympic GamesRose said that the move was basically white “symbolism” of the state administration, saying that they were “fear of forming an all-black team for the Summer Olympics.”

Ross commented on the Jalen & Jacoby podcast last week.

“Kevin Love joined the team because of symbolism,” Rose said. “Don’t be afraid to let an all-black team represent the United States of America. I am disappointed.”

Rose said that based on his performance with the Cleveland Cavaliers this season, Love should not appear in the Olympic team. At that time, he played in only 25 games, averaging 12.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.

“Anyone who has watched this year’s league knows that Kevin Love hasn’t had an outstanding season. He is not the best player on the team, and he is not necessarily worthy of this team,” Rose said.

The American basketball team may have seen what Love brought to the court, but not his skin color.Love won the Olympic gold medal with the US team at the 2012 London Olympics. He helped LeBron James win the NBA 2015-16 season championship.

The U.S. basketball team is obviously not “afraid of forming an all-black team” because its entire lineup for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics is black.

Love is the fifth overall pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2008 NBA Draft. Before going to Cleveland, he played for the Timberwolves for six seasons. In addition to winning the gold medal and NBA championship, Love has also been selected to the NBA All-Star five times, most recently in 2018.

Rose has never been selected to an All-Star, he has never won an NBA championship, and has never been selected to an Olympic team. Rose’s most memorable season was in 2000, when he helped the Indiana Pacers reach the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers. Rose averaged 25 points per game in the series, including 32 points in the fifth victory.

In the NBA Finals, Rose deliberately injured Kobe Bryant In the second game, Rose later admitted to doing something. When Kobe jumped back to shoot, Rose put his foot under Kobe’s body, hoping that he would hit him and get hurt.

After Rose said that Love shouldn’t be on the team, he appointed another player who should be there-DeAndre Ayton of the Phoenix Suns, who is currently reaching the NBA playoffs Western Conference finals.

“I want to tell you who it should be. That should be a young man born in the Bahamas, a McDonald’s national player, playing in high school and college in Phoenix, Arizona. Deandre Ayton should have Kevin Love’s. I feel about the American team. Disappointed because they didn’t have the courage to send an all-black team to the Olympics,” Rose said.

Ayton is not an American citizen. He has played for the Bahamas national team. He needs an exception from FIBA(World Basketball Administration) to be selected for the US team for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Opened the door for love, allowing several high-profile NBA players to choose to withdraw from the Olympics or refuse to participate in the Olympics altogether. They include LeBron James, James Harden, Stephen Curry, Chris Paul, Anthony Davis and Kyle Lowry.
