I strongly dislike Left and Right terms. I think we should find some sort of consensus on things we really value in society, rather than being at loggerheads.
I think the terms have some merit in giving you an idea of roughly where someone sits on the political spectrum, but they shouldn't be exclusive identities. I'm sure that a large number of people, regardless of whether they're left or right (or any other type of outlook), can work together on important issues - such as protecting our freedoms from overly authoritarian governments.
